Join EPIP Bay Area’s Media Club, “Indigenous Sovereignty & Emergent Philanthropy: Land Back Movement” on January 19, 2022 at 4pm - 5pm for the first media club event of the year. This virtual event will be focused on learning about the Native Land Back Movement and Ohlone women rematriating and stewarding land across Huichin territory.
Our hopes for this Media Club are to facilitate an accessible, abundant, and brave learning space for us to learn and develop our philanthropic professional skills in honor of Indigenous Sovereignty solidarity work happening all around us.
Please RSVP here and check out the following article and videos ahead of our time together:
- Article: “What Is the Land Back Movement? A Call for Native Sovereignty and Reclamation” by Ruth Hopkins, (D)ecolonized Series Teen Vogue
- Video 1: “Indigenous Sovereignty: One Land Plot at a Time” by KQED and Sogorea Te Land Trust
- Video 2: “How This Native American Elder Reclaimed Sacred Land in the Bay Area” by KQED Arts
