Giving Circles were created to override the traditional power dynamics of philanthropy and put giving in new hands. They continue to be a powerful model for making change in transformational ways. Join us for a webinar that explores the community roots of Giving Circles, diverse examples of powerful giving circles making real positive impact and learn how to start or lead your own. No matter your job or experience, get tools to start, sustain and expand values-aligned giving with your friends, family or community. Get in the driver's seat of change with the empowered model of Giving Circle philanthropy.
Learn More about the Presenters:
Joelle believes deeply in the power of connecting to our identities, our visions, and our communities. She's worked in the nonprofit space for more than 10 years, leading communications, marketing, and strategy efforts at multiple organizations. She currently serves as the program director for Amplifier, an exciting new program of the Natan Fund that helps people create giving circles inspired by Jewish values -- groups who pool their charitable donations and decide together how to give them away. In addition to building communities around giving, Joelle also helps bring people together around food through her community-supported agriculture project in Brooklyn, the Brooklyn Bridge CSA, and is known to start infectious dance parties, which is, incidentally, another great tool in community building.
