In August, EPIP released Dissonance & Disconnects: How entry and mid-level foundation staff see their futures, their institutions, and their field, a report exploring the perceptions and perspectives of early- and mid-career professionals in philanthropy on their jobs, their institutions, and their futures in the field. This briefing goes through the major findings of the report, including the impact of seniority and identity on the respondents' perceptions of their roles and institutions, the significant disconnect that respondents noted between their institutions' stated and lived values, and the generally low marks given to philanthropy on diversity, equity, and inclusion issues.
