Overbrook Human Rights Fellow in Democracy and Reproductive Rights

The Overbrook Foundation is a family foundation dedicated to advancing human rights, protecting American democracy, and conserving the natural environment. The Human Rights Program supports efforts to defend democracy, advance reproductive health, rights, and justice in the United States, and protect human rights defenders in Central America.

In September 2025, The Overbrook Foundation will offer a fellowship for graduate students in the New York area interested in philanthropy and strengthening democracy and reproductive rights. The Fellow will work under the guidance of the Senior Program Associate and Director of Human Rights, conducting research projects, evaluating potential grantees, and monitoring policy developments at the federal and state levels. Key responsibilities include analyzing intersections between democracy and reproductive rights, assessing voter engagement strategies, and developing case studies on grantee impact. The Fellow will also review philanthropic best practices and propose evaluation methods for nonprofit organizational health, providing valuable insights to inform the Foundation’s grantmaking strategy.
