The Organization
DreamYard collaborates with Bronx youth, families, and schools to build pathways to equity and opportunity through the arts, digital learning, and social justice pedagogy. We work with approximately 15,000 students annually through programs that run across 50+ Bronx public schools as part of our Bronx Arts Learning Community (including DreamYard Preparatory High School), at the DreamYard Art Center and in Partnership with HERE to HERE.
At DreamYard, we commit to being an antiracist organization. We acknowledge the weight of history in perpetuating inequities. We lead with race because we operate in a country founded on the genocide of Indigenous people, the enslavement of African people, and the oppression of countless others. Using art and education as platforms to offer a hopeful vision of the future, we commit to challenge oppression and its intersections.
