ABOUT THE POSITION
The consultant/s will manage the grant cycle for phase two of the FUF and undertake the following duties and responsibilities:
Review FUF Phase 1 materials, grantee reports, fundraising materials and other relevant documents and frame the learnings, GAPs, and identify needs for Phase 2.
Develop a grantmaking strategy with the HIP team that includes a collaborative approach with grantee partners
Develop participatory approach for grantmaking that includes grantee engagement
Facilitate 1-2 convenings with HIP grantees (as part of the participatory approach)
As a result of participatory approach, issue a report with grantee recommendations, context and other secondary resources on grantmaking strategies, priorities and criteria
Implement strategy including RFP/ invitation process, grantee identification, and grantee support for proposal and other required document production
Develop evaluation approach and system
Review all incoming proposals, document all grantee communication and correspondence, and provide recommendations for grantmaking to HIP staff for final selection
Write internal report documenting the grantee engagement & grantmaking process
COMPENSATION
The fee amount for this work shall not exceed $15,000.

Demonstrated understanding of migration and forced displacement, the nonprofit ecosystem, and policies and prevailing funding strategies, particularly in the Americas
Track record of successful fundraising strategies, relevant funder relationships, and expertise in the field of migration with the U.S. and European-based funders
Capacity for developing effective communications
Understanding of philanthropic giving in Mexico, Central and South America strongly preferred
Spanish fluency strongly preferred
