2021 EPIP Bay Area Event
Meeting the Moment: A Fireside Chat Examining Philanthropy’s Covid Response | May 24th @ 5:30pm - 6:30pm | Virtual
With more than a year since the pandemic began, we will discuss how philanthropic organizations have responded & shifted their strategic priorities (i.e. restructuring their giving strategies, doubling down on equity & centering communities of color, adapting more responsive practices) in response to Covid-19. We will also address philanthropy’s role in promoting vaccine access & equitable distribution, especially among BIPOC communities locally here in the Bay Area. The following conversation will feature:
- Kishore Hari, The Chan Zuckerberg Initiative
- Tony Emerson - Zetina, The Tipping Point Community
- Eduardo Garcia, The Latino Community Foundation
During this event, we encourage participants to arrive ready to ask questions and engage as we envision this fireside chat to be interactive and discussion based. Now more than ever, it is time for philanthropy to roll up its sleeves to help ensure equitable recovery and access in response to Covid-19.
Advanced RSVP is required. A Zoom link will be shared the day before the event.
