Ever read a book and wonder who can I call to discuss? Look no further EPIP Philly has a book club! Everyone now has a place to talk through philanthropic related reads. Everyone now has a place to talk through philanthropic related reads.
Social Distancing won't slow up down! Next up is How to Be an Anti -Racist by Ibram X. Kendi. The writer takes a deeper look at the concept of anti racism re-energizes and reshapes the conversation about racial justice in America--but even more fundamentally, points us toward liberating new ways of thinking about ourselves and each other. Instead of working with the policies and system we have in place, Kendi asks us to think about what an anti racist society might look like, and how we can play an active role in building it.
We encourage you to dive into the text, read some articles about the book, and come curious and open to dialogue. While we prefer attendees to read the book prior to the discussion, all are welcome to attend and participate. This meeting is virtual so feel free to have a beverage and light snack during our discussion.
