EPIP DC | Advocating for Equity in the Workplace

As the philanthropic sector grapples with our role in promoting equity, it is critical that staff, particularly emerging leaders, have the resources and support needed to advocate internally for more equitable, socially justice policies and practices. This interactive discussion, modeled on EPIP’s Emerging Leader Salons and a popular session at last year’s CHANGE Philanthropy UNITY Summit, will highlight lessons learned from a panel of experts and practitioners who have worked successfully – or not so successfully – to advance equity within their own institutions. The program will tap into the wisdom in the room and provide space for group discussion.

Featuring:

  • Jeanné Isler, Vice President and Chief Engagement Officer, National Committee for Responsive Philanthropy (NCRP) (Moderator)
  • Danielle Reyes, Executive Director, Crimsonbridge Foundation
  • Timothy McCue, Director of Grant Programs, Potomac Health Foundation
  • Andrew Plumley, Senior Program Manager, Equity in the Center
