EPIP Bay Area | Announcing EPIP Bay Area's 2020 Mentoring Program

EPIP and AAPIP Bay Area Launches Joint Mentorship Program

Emerging Practitioners in Philanthropy (EPIP) and Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders in Philanthropy (AAPIP) are proud to launch a new joint Mentorship Program to connect professionals and leaders in philanthropy to enhance professional development, personal leadership, and deepen peer networks across the philanthropic sector. The program will select up to 12 professionals and up to 12 seasoned leaders and provide support for one-on-one mentoring partnerships, will build a community out of the cohort of participants, and provide access to EPIP and AAPIP Bay Area programs. The planning and selection team has curated an accomplished pool of mentors from different backgrounds and diverse institutions.  Mentoring is beneficial to all individuals involved, especially for women and people of color, who have been historically underrepresented in leadership roles, especially in the philanthropic sector. Through a close partnership with a mentor, mentees will develop a deeper understanding of the philanthropic sector, and how to navigate career pathways, share knowledge, skills, perspective, and build a more robust network. This pilot program seeks to expand partnerships with other affinity and membership groups after this inaugural year.

Applications to join the Mentorship Program are now live and open through Monday, March 16th at 5 pm.

If you'd like more information about the program, please refer to the Mentorship Program Handbook.

We look forward to hearing from you!
