Director, Foundation Relations (NAACP)

The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP)

Baltimore, MD // Washington, DC // New York, NY

The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) is the nation’s largest and oldest grassroots civil rights organization. On February 12, 1909, the NAACP was founded to ensure the political, educational, social, and economic equality of rights of all persons and to eliminate race-based discrimination. As the NAACP moves into its second century, its national staff, state conferences and 2,200 local units continue to stand on the frontlines of civil rights activism.

The Association is investing considerable resources to build the infrastructure required to solidify its role as the principal legal advocate for civil rights issues and focus on disparities in economics, health care, education, voter empowerment and the criminal justice system. The NAACP seeks an entrepreneurial, results-oriented Director of Foundation Relations to build and manage a comprehensive foundation relations program that will propel the NAACP’s advocacy agenda to new levels of accomplishment.
