Join EPIP Bay Area for the first event of a series on collaborative philanthropy! The first panel will be focused on Social Impact Bonds (SIBs) and the Pay for Success (PFS) model for social change.
A model that began abroad and has recently begun to take hold here in the United States, PFS and SIBs create a financing model for new, outcomes-driven models for social service delivery that hopes to leverage private capital and create long-term government savings. Our panel of experts will address what these financing mechanisms are, who the players are in this growing field (and how philanthropy plays a key role), and what the outlook and challenges are for using this approach to fund social service programs.
Our panelists include representatives from Nonprofit Finance Fund, Irvine Foundation, and Richmond Community Foundation.
The event will be held from 5:30 - 7:30 at the James Irvine Foundation, 1 Bush Street near Embarcadero BART. Light refreshments will be served.
