Position Overview

Robin Hood is known for its unique approach to investing – delivering support well beyond program grants. Our Management Assistance (MA) team provides consulting and capacity-building, including over $5 million annually in pro bono services from the best corporate talent. This position will support MA activities, partnering with team members on initiatives, workshops and special projects. In addition, the Associate will play a key role in tracking and reporting on program data, as well as providing administrative support to the Managing Director.

Responsibilities

Initiatives and Workshops

Support MA initiatives, including McKinsey SP101, Accenture Coaching and the Governance Initiative by partnering with lead to ensure that all aspects of planning and execution – including high-level oversight and minute details – are handled flawlessly.
Manage event logistics including scheduling, marketing, registration, materials production and on-site support.
Provide excellent customer service to grant recipients, donors and external vendors.

Data Collection, Reporting and Analysis

Ensure timely sign-off and tracking of MA grant write-ups, contracts and invoices. Monitor committed versus spent, while ensuring consistent administrative record.
Manage the collection and reporting of MA budget and outcomes data, including development and analysis of quarterly reporting for the MA team. Work with team members to maintain accurate and updated data.
Take on special projects and ongoing responsibilities for the program data and operations team with the goal of ensuring accurate data on grants administration and metrics.
Provide support on consulting projects, including secondary research, data collection/ compilation, survey administration and presentation development.

Administration and Knowledge Management

Provide administrative support to the managing director, including scheduling, meeting management and project management.
Compile, manage and disseminate information on nonprofit management topics including articles, sample documents and toolkits.
Manage the MA calendar and MA monthly meetings. Coordinate special projects, including ticket management for Robin Hood events.
Handle administrative tasks as assigned by MA team members including scheduling, copying and mailing, data entry, minute taking, and logistics support. Participate in other general functions and duties of the RH management assistance team.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required with a minimum of two years of relevant experience.
Strong data analysis and reporting skills.
Excellent project management skills with good judgment and attention to detail.
Excellent organizational, planning, and time-management skills.
Strong written and oral communications skills.
Self-Starter. Skilled at completing tasks with minimal support.
Customer service orientation and good interpersonal skills.
Team player and collaborator.
Commitment to social causes and understanding of poverty-related issues preferred.
Familiarity with nonprofit capacity-building work, and interest in helping to strengthen nonprofit organizations towards greater effectiveness.
Fluent in Microsoft Office suite. Experience with CRM systems.
