As spring begins to reach many parts of the country we are seeing changes in the weather, with leaves and flowers beginning to sprout. Along with the change in seasons we at EPIP are continuing to prepare for a change in leadership with the search for our new Executive Director. Please know that we will accept resumes for the ED position until May 1. Thank you to those of you who have expressed interest by submitting your resumes and we look forward to seeing more applications from our EPIP family. (Download a copy of the job description here.)
Our fantastic interim director Emily is continuing to move the organization along, and we are all looking forward to coming together May 12-14, for the 2015 EPIP National Conference in New Orleans. The conference marks a new season in EPIP’s work to bring the membership together unified with the community for equity. In addition to that, this will also be our first stand-alone conference, separate from Council on Foundations. We will be holding our conference for the first time in the South, in a city that has experienced significant trauma, transition and renewal over the years.
EPIP continues to remain fiscally healthy, we are creating and incorporating strong programming and the local chapters are better than ever. Our webinars and chapter activities are rolling along across the country and members are benefiting from the great resources being created.
I want to thank our funders for continuing to be supportive of EPIP’s work and particularly the funders who will be sponsoring the conference. I look forward to seeing you all in New Orleans, where I will give another update on the search. Happy Spring!
