ABOUT MARIN ART AND GARDEN CENTER (MAGC)

Marin Art and Garden Center is an 11-acre historic property that was founded in 1945 by a group of conservation-minded women to serve the community as a place to gather and explore the arts, gardens, and the natural world.

The Center was recently listed on the National Register of Historic Places, acknowledging the significance of its history and the noted architects and landscape architects who designed the buildings and grounds for the public.

Located a short drive north of the Golden Gate Bridge and accessible from the East Bay and Marin and Sonoma Counties, the Center is a hub of activity for families, art-lovers, and gardeners from throughout the Bay Area.  The grounds are open from dawn to dusk, seven days a week, free of charge.
