Trister, Ross, Schadler & Gold, PLLC is hiring an associate attorney to work in our nonprofit and political law practice group. We are looking for someone with 2-5 years' legal experience, including experience practicing in the areas of nonprofit tax, campaign finance or lobbying law. Additional professional experience with nonprofit, political or labor organizations is preferred. The candidate must have excellent academic credentials and writing skills.

Job responsibilities include:

• Research, write memoranda and advise nonprofit, political, labor and related organizations and individuals at the national, state and local levels.
• Counsel clients on campaign finance, lobbying and ethics laws, and other matters including charitable registration, financial reporting, employment, and legislative proposals.
• Draft articles of incorporation, bylaws and corporate resolutions for nonprofit organizations, and prepare applications for tax exemption.
