Talent Development Coordinator (BF)

We are looking for a skilled administrative professional to join the Foundation’s staff as its Talent Development Coordinator. The right candidate will be excited to put their organizational and interpersonal skills to use in this important foundation-wide role.

Job Purpose

The Talent Development Coordinator provides administrative support for innovative and extensive talent, human resources and professional development activities. We believe that deep investment in staff learning and development, especially around diversity, equity and inclusion, advances and supports the Foundation’s ability to make an impact in the communities we serve. The Talent Development Coordinator plays a significant role in putting this belief into action. 

Core Responsibilities & Key Relationships

  • Provide general organizational and administrative support for hiring and selection, performance management, employee goal setting and professional development.
  • Serve as primary operational contact with the Minnesota Council on Foundations for the Ron McKinley Philanthropy Fellowship program.
  • Support to the Foundation’s internal Equity Team, aimed at advancing the Foundation’s skills in diversity, equity and inclusion.
  • Coordinate daily operations including contracts, expenses, payments, budgeting and forecasting.
  • Plan and implement staff development and social activities and events, often in close partnership with other staff at the Foundation.
  • Serve as backup support to the President and members of the executive team.
  • Provide other general administrative support, as needed.
  • Actively demonstrate core organizational values in performing all duties.

Minimum Qualifications

  • At least three years of administrative experience in an office setting, managing multiple priorities concurrently and effectively.
  • Able to work independently with minimal direction and to be flexible in a dynamic and collaborative environment
  • Passionate and enthusiastic about supporting adult learning and productivity.
  • Eager to continue advancing their own intercultural skills. Knowledge of and experience with diversity, equity and inclusion concepts and programming is a plus.
  • Committed to the highest levels of discretion, confidentiality and customer service.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and project management skills.
    • Able to effectively interact, communicate and collaborate with people from a wide range of cultural backgrounds.
    • Proficient with Outlook and Microsoft Office. Experience with online meeting tools and SalesForce is a plus.
