Senior Director of Strategic Initiatives

The Just Solutions Collective is a national Black, Indigenous, People of Color-led organization that broadens and deepens the understanding and advancement of equitable and effective climate policies and programs. We believe urgent and bold action is needed to drive our country's transition to an equitable clean energy future and that communities most harmed by climate change must play a leadership role in designing, prioritizing, and implementing solutions. Our highly experienced advisory board, staff, and senior policy fellows across the country offer action-based research, policy expertise, customized training/technical assistance, and a robust network supporting the movement for environmental and climate justice. 

ABOUT THE POSITION

The Senior Director of Strategic Initiatives is an executive-level position that works directly with the Executive Director and senior leadership team to advance Just Solutions' mission, strategies, and programs. More specifically, this position plays a lead role in determining how we develop, prioritize, and deploy our research, analysis, and field-building resources to support the policy capacity and impact of state environmental and climate justice organizations and coalitions at the front lines of the climate movement. 

The Senior Director will lead the creation of project hubs to further leverage the expertise of staff, fellows, advisors, and partners within the Just Solutions Collective to respond to community needs and priorities, proactively filling gaps and needs in research or policy content. The Senior Director brings the highest level of internal coordination to design, implement, manage and evaluate the Hub strategy to meet the organization's and our partners' near and short-term objectives.

COMPENSATION

$140,000-$150,000
