AAUW is seeking a consultant or consultancy to lead a Strategic Portfolio Assessment & Future Investment Strategy for its fellowships and grants portfolio. This is an opportunity to help shape the future of one of the nation’s longstanding philanthropic programs supporting women’s education and career advancement. The selected consultant will identify high-impact opportunities for investment in graduate education and professional pathways where women remain underrepresented and where greater participation and leadership by women can have significant societal, technological, and economic impact.
We’re especially interested in consultants who can bring together expertise in philanthropy, higher education, workforce trends, gender equity, and strategic research and translate complex data into actionable recommendations for program design and investment. The engagement is anticipated to begin by early November 2026 and conclude by March 31, 2027, with competitive proposals generally expected in the $75,000–$150,000 range. Proposals are due September 14, 2026, at 8:00 a.m. ET.
