The Washington Women’s Foundation is a strong and inclusive collective of informed women who together influence community transformation. Since the Foundation’s inception in 1995, its members have awarded collective and individual grants in excess $19 million.
ABOUT THE POSITION
Programs and Events: Supports the Grants Program Manager in the execution of events and programs designed to further the mission of the Foundation, including, but not limited to, workshops and celebrations related to the award of grants. Supports effective, well-run and welcoming events and programs hosted by the Foundation, in person and online. Duties for in-person events, when again permitted by public health officials, include reserving venues, arranging for catering and refreshments, preparing A/V and other technical support, setting up rooms, tracking attendance, preparing nametags and other supplies, staffing registration at programs and events, distributing and collecting evaluations and other duties, as needed. Duties for virtual events include managing online registration, and scheduling Zoom video conferencing, and providing day-of technical support. Supervises contractors, vendors, and volunteers as required.
Grantmaking: Works with the Grants Program Manager to provide a high level of management and support to the Foundation’s members and other committee volunteers to ensure that the Foundation’s grantmaking processes run smoothly, meet the Foundation’s goals and objectives, and are conducted in alignment with the Foundation’s values. Provides additional staffing support to the Pooled Fund Grant Committee and the Impact Assessment Committee.
Member Relations: Assists the President & CEO in the development and implementation of strategies for member retention, stewardship, and engagement, including the annual membership renewal communications, staffing the Member Engagement Committee, and assisting in the execution of all stewardship and member engagement events. Serves as members’ primary contact point regarding memberships, donations, and general questions about Foundation activities.
Communications: Coordinates the creation and distribution of the member e-newsletter, the Foundation’s annual report, marketing content for Foundation events and programs, social media content, and other communication pieces, as requested.
COMPENSATION
$55,000-$60,000 annually (benefits including vacation time, paid holidays and sick time, health, dental and vision insurance plan, retirement plan, charitable gift matching, and ORCA Card)
