Program Officer (NI)

NextFifty Initiative is a Colorado-based private foundation dedicated to funding mission-driven initiatives that improve the lives of the older adult population and their caregivers. Our mission is to promote independence and dignity for the aging population, to include the needs of low and moderate income persons, encompassing individuals with physical, cognitive and/or behavioral disability, by encouraging and supporting innovative, affordable and coordinated services and initiatives.

ABOUT THE POSITION

The Program Officer reports to the Director of Programs and is responsible for reviewing grant applications, making funding recommendations to the Board of Trustees, and working with assigned grantees to evaluate their work and support them in their grant activities. The program officer will demonstrate a strong understanding of the mission and vision of NextFifty Initiative and be able to express that clearly to grantees and the interested public. The program officer will cultivate potential grantees in the community and field of aging.

The individual filling this role will be a key member of the Foundation's program staff. They will contribute to idea generation and strategic thinking that strengthens the Foundation’s grantmaking initiatives by ensuring efficient, equitable, and effective processes that align with the mission and vision of NextFifty Initiative.

COMPENSATION

Starting salary is a minimum of $80,000 DOE
