Program Officer (MSHCF)

The Mt. Sinai Health Care Foundation, a 22-year-old health grantmaker, is seeking a program officer.  

The ideal candidate will be familiar with best practices in community health improvement and primary prevention.  Familiarity with the Foundation’s areas of grantmaking focus is also desirable: Academic Medicine/Bioscience, Health Policy, Health of the Jewish Community, and Health of the Urban Community.  Familiarity with the work of the organized Jewish community is a plus.

Program officers are part of a professional team responsible for implementing the Foundation's strategic and responsive grantmaking. Reporting to the vice president, Strategy, the program officer will work to improve the health status of Greater Cleveland by working with multiple stakeholders and across sectors in making recommendations for strategic investments in local health initiatives.  The ideal candidate will hold a minimum of a bachelor’s degree and have a health and human services, health policy, and/or public health background. Evidence of outstanding analytical and communication skills required.
