Program Director (AF)

 

Summary

The Program Director works closely with a team to advance the foundation’s program work, in addition to providing staff support to ongoing grantmaking and donor engagement activities. As part of a collaborative team, s/he is externally focused on the work of building productive relationships with nonprofits, donors and volunteer advisory committees and other partners. S/he will build knowledge of issues related to the foundation’s strategic priorities and the nonprofit sector, including, early childhood education, best practices in capacity building of nonprofits and collaborations, and serve as a foundation representative at community meetings and events.

Approximately 60% of the program director’s time will be spent on the Birth to Three Alliance (BT3); 20% on nonprofit support and the Adirondack Nonprofit Network and 20% developing collaborative “co-giving” with donors and funding partners with the Donor Services fundraising team.  Professional development and administrative tasks are also part of the job.
