About The Genesis Foundation

Founded in 1982 by Dr. Murray Feingold as “The Genesis Fund,” The Genesis Foundation for Children provides funding for the diagnosis and compassionate, coordinated care for children born with physical and intellectual disabilities and genetic disorders.  The Foundation strives to ensure that children with multiple disabilities receive expert medical care regardless of family finances. By bridging the funding gap between services typically covered by health insurance and those that are not, The Foundation provides patients with access to in-depth care and helps them live their lives to the fullest.

The primary beneficiaries of the Foundation are The Feingold Center for Children, which includes several satellite clinics across Eastern Massachusetts, MotherToBaby MA (formerly known as the Pregnancy Exposure InfoLine), which serves expecting mothers who have questions about health risks to their unborn babies, and The Therapy and the Performing Arts Program, which provides individualized programs for special-needs children to help them reach their intellectual, psychological, and physiological potential. Since its inception, The Genesis Foundation has provided diagnosis, care, and guidance to over 60,000 children and families in Massachusetts and New England.
