The Tahirih Justice Center is a national, nonprofit organization that serves women, girls, and other immigrant survivors fleeing gender-based violence. Our interdisciplinary, trauma-informed model of service combines free legal and social services with bridge-building policy advocacy and research-based training and education. ABOUT THE POSITION
The Donor Relations Officer’s responsibilities include building a portfolio of donors with the capacity to give gifts of at least $75k-100k+ level over a three year period (or roughly $25k per year), with a focus on six+ figure donors, relationships with the Board of Directors and those based outside Tahirih local office markets; qualifying new major gift prospects to determine their likelihood of giving at the major gift level; cultivating and soliciting major gifts, and stewarding major gift donors in the officer’s portfolio. The Donor Relations Officer shares in the financial goal of the Development Team and is responsible for both an individual goal, plus supporting and mentoring a small team of development managers. The position will also advise and partner with leadership on the holistic development, execution, and management of a strategic plan for engaging individual donors to advance the mission of the organization. In addition to having a discrete portfolio of donors to meet with and solicit, the individual will also support the Executive Staff, Board of Directors and Local Offices in their efforts to raise increased funds to fulfill Tahirih’s strategic plan. The position reports to the Chief Development Officer and is an integral part of the ambitious growth planned for the organization.
COMPENSATION
90,000-100,000, commensurate with experience
