Director of Development and Donor Engagement, King Boston (TBF)

Through grantmaking, donor and funder partnerships and civic leadership work, we seek to address critical challenges, achieve high-impact philanthropy and serve as a hub and center for information, where ideas are shared, levers for change are identified, and common agendas for the future are developed.

ABOUT THE POSITION

In partnership with the Executive Director, King Boston and the Boston Foundation’s Development and Donor Services Team the Director of Development and Donor Engagement is responsible for designing and implementing a fundraising and donor engagement strategy in support of King Boston’s three primary efforts: (1) The Embrace, a living memorial on the Boston Common, (2) the Center for Economic Justice, and (3) Embrace Ideas, a public series to engage community members in anti-racist dialogue through the arts and humanities.  

This is a role for a generalist development professional, experienced in both individual and institutional giving.  They will build the development design, strategy and tactical functions and initiatives for King Boston. This position requires an entrepreneurial spirit, the ability to  work in a small-shop setting, passion for economic and racial justice,  and experienced and/or curiosity about implementing and developing democratic development practices.

COMPENSATION

$120,000 - $130,000
