Chief Development Officer (WSG)

WSG is an all-scholarship independent Catholic School educating students in grades 3-8. Located in Ward 8 and serving the surrounding communities, the school provides an excellent academic program in a supportive environment which engages families and the community in the social, emotional, and spiritual growth of its students and graduates. We help our students to become the confident, capable, and courageous young women they are meant to be. 

WSG’s FY21 budget is $4.35M with over 90% coming from generous individuals, foundations, companies and organizations in our community.

ABOUT THE POSITION

The Chief Development Officer will work closely with the President, Board of Trustees and key volunteers to generate funds for annual operations, special projects and an upcoming capital campaign now in an early planning phase. They will lead the strategy and implementation of a diverse and robust fundraising portfolio, including individual gifts, foundations, corporate partnerships, planned giving, in-kind donations, and events. The CDO, together with the President, will be the front-line fundraising face of WSG and responsible for a portfolio of donors.

The CDO oversees a team of 4+ staff and consultants. This position is full-time and based on campus in southeast Washington, DC. However, school and development operations are currently virtual (work from home) during the 2020/2021 school year.
