Associate Director, Advisory Services (AA)

About Arabella’s Advisory Team   

The Advisory team is a collegial, client-focused, and DEI- and impact-driven community that provides a range of strategic consulting services to institutional foundations, family foundations, corporations and corporate foundations, impact investors, and philanthropic individuals. Our team helps clients chart their social impact and philanthropic journey, design and build new initiatives and organizations, develop grant-making and impact investment strategies, implement programs and grant initiatives, conduct diligence, evaluate impact, and collaborate effectively with other donors and investors. Together, we work with many of the nation’s leading philanthropists, helping them achieve equity-focused impact in education, health, conservation and the environment, and more.  

ABOUT THE POSITION

Associate Directors play an essential role on the Advisory team in managing a portfolio of client projects and teams, maintaining client relationships, supporting business development, and advancing priorities for team- or firm-wide strategy and objectives. We anticipate that this Associate Director will work with a diverse client portfolio including a mix of foundations, families and individuals, and corporations to help them define and implement on their social impact goals.  

We are looking for a candidate who is enthusiastic about working with clients seeking to achieve impact in a wide range of issue areas—from early childhood education, to closing the racial wealth gap, to global water and sanitation—by partnering every step of the way from initial strategy development to implementation and grantmaking to learning from the outcomes. You will need to be highly organized, bring exceptional project and client management skills, and be committed to centering equity in every engagement. You are someone who understands that long-term, systemic change requires a deep understanding of the complex logistics of impact, including when and how to move the human, financial, and even intellectual resources needed to accomplish a goal.
