EPIP New York is an intergenerational home for emergent philanthropic practitioners to cultivate bold ideas, develop professional agency, and strengthen community. We are excited to announce that applications for the EPIP NY Steering Committee are now open! The application deadline has been extended to Sunday, September 19th.
What is the steering committee?
The EPIP NY Steering Committee is a group of dedicated volunteers who work to build community and support the learning and professional growth of EPIP members. Steering Committee members host events, build relationships with partners in the field, and support each other and our chapter membership in the journey to bring about social justice.
Interested in applying?
In order to apply to join the EPIP NY Steering Committee, you must:

Be a current dues-paying EPIP member or work at an institutional member based in NY by the time you are selected as a finalist
- If it is financially difficult to pay the individual membership fee, please do not let this hold you back from applying! Please reach out to [email protected] and we can work with you to remove any cost barriers.
- Have at least two years of cumulative relevant experience. We take a broad view of what we consider relevant experience. Examples include––but are not limited to––experience in philanthropy, nonprofit, government, leadership in school or community organizations, and any experience building community.
- Be able to commit 5-10 hours per month to committee activities and chapter events
- Commit to a minimum two-year term on the committee. Please note there is an option to extend your term beyond two years.

Applications are due by Sunday, September 19th. We will review applications on a rolling basis. All qualified candidates will be invited to a virtual interview with current steering committee members.
We expect to notify accepted applicants in mid-to-late September and begin onboarding by October.
