In 2018, the EPIP MN Chapter will explore the landscape of philanthropy in Minnesota and wash it down with a drink!
Please join us on Thursday, March 22 at 5pm for the first installation of our Philanthropic Site Visit Series. We’ll be visiting The McKnight Foundation, a private family foundation based here in Minnesota. Our hosts for the tour will be Kara Carlise, Vice President of Programs, and Sarah Hernandez, Program Officer for McKnight’s Regions & Communities Program.
Schedule:
5:00pm-6:00pm: McKnight Foundation Presentation
6:00pm-7:00pm: Drinks and socializing at Day Block Brewing
Kara and Sarah will provide an overview of McKnight’s mission and approach to philanthropy, as well as a brief tour of McKnight’s offices overlooking the Mississippi. EPIP MN Chapter Leaders will facilitate a brief question and answer session where you can expect to learn more about McKnight’s approach to diversity, equity, inclusion and the importance of advancing this work in the philanthropic field. As well as insights and advice from Kara and Sarah’s deep experience in philanthropy.
Afterward (about 6:15pm) we’ll head over to Day Block for drinks and conversation! Get to know your fellow emerging practitioners in philanthropy, meet the EPIP MN steering committee (chapter leaders), learn more our upcomming programming, about getting involved, and raise your glass to the next generation of leaders in philanthropy!
We hope you can join us! Please be sure to RSVP for the event! And if you haven’t already, like us on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/epipmn/
