emPOWER: Inspiring the Next Generation of Leaders
EPIP Michigan
Thursday, August 13, 2015 from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM (EDT)
Battle Creek, MI
The EPIP Michigan chapter is hosting a summer programming workshop, emPOWER: Inspiring the Next Generation of Leaders on August 13th from 10:00 am – 3:00 pm at the W.K. Kellogg Foundation in Battle Creek. The program will feature a keynote session with Shannon Polk, a consultant and attorney specializing in the nonprofit and philanthropic sectors, speaking about power dynamics within our workplaces and the field of philanthropy, navigating our work as emerging & effective leaders, and understanding how our various social identities impact our work along with interactive follow-up sessions on these topics.
This will be a great opportunity to meet and network with other EPIP Michigan members, and have meaningful discussions about issues that matter to us most. We also hope that this is a safe space for us to create tangible action items that we can take back to our workplaces to implement.
Please note you do not have to be an EPIP member to participate. There are no local dues to EPIP Michigan programming, but membership in EPIP National automatically provides EPIP Michigan membership. The cost of registration for this event is $25 which includes a light breakfast and lunch.
We hope to see you there!
