Philanthropic organizations inherently wield power in the social sector due to historical structures that assign power to resources. How can practitioners within these organizations harness their own sources of powers to transform culture and practice to better center nonprofits and communities?
Bring your favorite morning beverage and join EPIP-Colorado for an interactive exploration of the various Sources of Power and how we identify, leverage, and become comfortable with using our power to catalyze social change. Together, we will unpack Robert Gass’ one-pager on 12 Sources of Power, consider Sylvia Duckworth’s Wheel of Privilege and Power, and support one another to lean into our sources of power to advance equity. Participants are encouraged to quickly review the two resources linked above prior to the event.
