Director of Donor Engagement (CFWM)

About the Position

Are you passionate about our community? Self-directed, detail-oriented and a skilled listener? Are you a learner who sets high standards for yourself? Above all, do you truly enjoy and appreciate people?

The Community Foundation is looking for a team member to develop and drive our engagement program for givers. We help local individuals, families, businesses and institutions that care about our community and want to give back. The engagement program helps them learn what’s happening in our community, meet fellow givers with similar interests, and make thoughtful, impactful donations within our region.

You don’t need to know everything that’s happening in our region. And you don’t need to know how to ask for donations. Your peers can help with all that. What you do need is a recognition of the spirit of generosity that surrounds our work, and the ability to develop and manage systems that make giving even more satisfying.

Your role is to jump onboard as the Community Foundation enters a new phase of our work. You’ll be working with longtime givers and new donors, developing activities and systems to assist them. You’ll design giving events and informational workshops based on our donors’ top interests. Of course, you won’t be able to personally meet every donor, so you’ll work with the Foundation team to design ways to regularly share information with our broad base of givers and help them in efficient yet effective ways. And as responsive and resourceful as you are, you recognize that you and the team can’t do everything, and so you’ll need to establish methods to prioritize your work.
