ABOUT THE POSITION

MediaJustice (“MJ”) is seeking its first Director of Development to lead MJ’s development strategy and implementation during a period of growth for the team and organization. The Director of Development role is ideal for someone versatile, proactive and strategically-minded, with fundraising and leadership experience. They have a passion for movement work, relationship building, and an interest in fundraising principles grounded in equity and social justice.  

The Director of Development will define the organization’s first Development department, selecting a team of 1-3 additional hires. In partnership with MJ’s Executive Director, they will co-create and implement a development strategy that, over the next several years, will double the organization’s $3M budget through institutional and individual giving channels. These ambitious growth goals will fuel the largest grassroots network of media justice organizations in the country, and will position MediaJustice to deepen their impact in local and national campaigns. 

COMPENSATION

$107 - $121K, depending on experience
