826 Valencia is an award-winning nonprofit dedicated to supporting under-resourced students ages six to eighteen with their creative and expository writing skills and to helping teachers inspire their students to write. ABOUT THE POSITION
The Communications Associate helps amplify the voices of our students, conveys our imaginative brand, and elevates the work of 826 Valencia through newsletters, our website, social media, press relations, and other external communications. The ideal candidate is a very strong writer and communicator who can create messages that effectively inspire and engage various stakeholders, including students and families, teachers, donors, volunteers, and customers.
This role is non-exempt and part-time: $18-20 per hour, 20-30 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. through 5 p.m., with some evening or weekend hours.
