EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

Uniquely situated, Confluence Philanthropy’s (Confluence) mission is to transform the practice of investing by aligning capital with the membership community’s values of sustainability, equity, and justice. Confluence supports and catalyzes a membership network of private, public and community foundations, family offices, individual donors, and their values-aligned investment advisors representing more than $70 billion in philanthropic assets under management, and over $3.5 trillion in managed capital globally.

Celebrating ten years of pioneering influence and growth, Confluence now seeks its first Chief Operating Officer (COO) to help translate strategy into action, build long-lasting internal systems, and steward a culture of shared accountability and results orientation. The COO will lead a dedicated team in an organization that believes by aligning capital in all its forms, with core values, they can help build an economy that is sustainable and takes care of people and the planet.

The COO will work in close partnership with Confluence’s CEO and founder, Dana Lanza, and the Board of Directors. He/She/They will oversee a dynamic, cross-functional team that engages Confluence membership through seamless thought leadership, learning offerings and events, thoughtful and timely support, and responsive information and knowledge sharing. The COO will be a seasoned operations leader with a track record of financial transparency and accuracy, and demonstrated experience building collaborative teams and an inclusive community. He/She/They will have experience driving vision to action by elevating the importance of details, reliable service delivery, and continuous organizational improvement.
