The Boys and Men of Color Twitter chat that occurred on January 29th was a partnership between the Council on Foundations, EPIP, ABFE and The Executive Alliance. With more than 250 tweets written by participants during the hour long session, this innovative use of social media provided participants with an opportunity to share what they knew and learn from others. While I had participated in Twitter chats in the past hosted by the Special Libraries Association, this opportunity provided me with a unique opportunity to learn how this technique is utilized in the field of philanthropy. Representing EPIP, I worked on the chat management side with members of the partnership. Helping the other partners retweet questions and posts made during the session, I gained a unique look at the important topic.
