PLACES (Professionals Learning About Community, Equity & Smart Growth), is a year-long fellowship program that offers tools, knowledge, coaching, and best practices to build leadership skills and enhance funder grantmaking decisions in ways that are responsive to the needs and assets of low-income neighborhoods and communities of color. PLACES builds the skills and knowledge of a diverse cohort of professionals in philanthropy, allowing them to grow as leaders and better understand issues of equity and inclusiveness as it relates to growth and development issues and to translate what they have learned into their grantmaking practices.
