And get a sneak peek at our programming

The 2018 conference is shaping up to be one of our most impactful and inspirational yet, with plenaries that set the stage for action, workshops that look at new approaches to leadership and collaboration, and self-organized discussions that will let you continue the conversation and get ready to take the next step. The full conference programming will be announced over the next several weeks, but here's a quick look at some of the highlights:

Our Opening Plenary
The Art of Flocking: Creating a Shared Vision for the Future: adrienne maree brown will join Trista Harris, President of the Minnesota Council of Foundations, and Isaiah Oliver, President of the Community Foundation of Greater Flint, to discuss creating a shared vision for the future we want to see for our sector and our world and how small but measurable changes can help us achieve it.

Our Mid-Day Plenary
The 2020 Census: Why Philanthropy Counts:
The 2020 Census is a social justice issue; it will drive the allocation of services and resources across the country despite historically undercounting many marginalized communities and ensuring that funding and power remain in the most privileged communities. Join several non-profit and philanthropic leaders in an action-oriented conversation about why the census matters and how philanthropy can leverage the collective power of multiple partners to ensure a fair and accurate count.

Our Closing Plenary
The Emerging Leader Salon:
Our closing plenary session will highlight how leaders have created, held, and shared space for others to show up authentically, and are sharing and re-distributing power through their philanthropic efforts.  This candid discussion will focus on lessons learned and solutions that all participants can build on in their individual communities and workplaces.

Workshop Sessions: The 2018 conference will include sessions on democratizing philanthropy, understanding the Flow Funding model, using adaptive leadership to address tough challenges, leading from the bottom up, finding “your people” in the sector, and more! Many of these workshops will be led by EPIP members and partners, sharing the strategies and approaches that have helped them and their organizations lead effectively.

We will be announcing more conference programming soon, and we hope you will join us in helping to build a collaborative vision for the future of our sector. Click here to register and see you in Detroit!
