EDGE Funders Alliance (“Engaged Donors for Global Equity”) is a global community of around 400 donors, foundation officers, trustees, and philanthropic advisors who live in more than 20 countries and are passionately engaged in local, national, and international grantmaking within 120 diverse institutions that have differing priorities and strategies, but a shared belief that equity and justice are critical to furthering sustainable, global wellbeing.
EDGE works to build community among individuals and organizations that are organizing within philanthropy to deepen the sector’s understanding of the interconnected nature of the social, economic, and ecological crises threatening our common future and enables them to take action together to shift funding practice towards accountable relationships and systemic change. EDGE also builds solidarity and accompanies social movements working on systemic alternatives around the world.
EDGE is a 501(c)(3) organization with an annual budget of $1 million. It operates fully remotely with two full-time staff based in Mexico and Belgium. As a small team, EDGE has a culture that emphasizes collaboration, trust, collective care, learning, shared power, and mutual accountability — and seeks to continue to embed its values into its emerging infrastructure.

ABOUT THE POSITION
EDGE Funders Alliance is seeking a full-time Programs Manager to lead the design and implementation of all programmatic initiatives (in-person and online), support learning and collaboration among network members and social movement allies through our intersectional justice initiatives, contribute to approaches that increase the visibility of the organization to key audiences, and advance strategic goals.
This is an ideal role for someone who is interested in being a part of a small, decentralized, global team that works closely to build collective power for change through funder and social movement organizing. The Programs Manager will ensure that EDGE’s programs are aligned with our values and meaningfully contribute to our goals, and supervise the Programs and Communications Coordinator’s work to implement a communications approach that is integrated into and adds value to the programmatic and organizational strategies.
We are open to candidates based worldwide, though the Programs Manager must be comfortable working remotely and with colleagues located across multiple time zones since most of our members are based in the United States and Europe. We are looking for an organized and motivated professional who shares our values, is committed to intersectional justice, and interested in strengthening the programmatic infrastructure of an expanding, global organization.
