Grants Administrator

As an education leadership accelerator, the Surge Institute has a simple but important mission: develop and elevate leaders of color who create transformative change for children, families, and communities. Since 2015, we have designed leadership development and community-building programming for leaders of color. Through our signature programming, the Surge Fellowship and Surge Academy we have developed, elevated, and connected nearly 300 BIPOC education leaders across the nation, serving young people and families in Chicago, Oakland, Washington DC, and several more cities. As we look ahead, our multi-year strategy has our work touching 5,000 leaders of color by 2030 and developing new programs that will transform the systems in which our youth and communities learn and live.
