Research & Membership Engagement Associate

Funders Concerned about AIDS (FCAA) is a philanthropy-serving organization (PSO) formed by a network of funders in 1987 to take bold actions and push philanthropy to respond to HIV and AIDS. FCAA’s mission is to inform, connect and support philanthropy to mobilize resources to end the global HIV pandemic and build the social, political, and economic commitments necessary to attain health, human rights, and justice for all. As a global network of funders, FCAA welcomes diverse perspectives, facilitates open communication and debate, and promotes racial and gender equity and all human rights. FCAA’s 14-member Board of Directors are currently based in five countries: France, Kenya, the Netherlands, the UK, and the United States. FCAA currently lists more than 50 grantmaking institutions as members that collectively accounted for 53% of total HIV-related grantmaking in 2021. FCAA also works with many other philanthropy-serving organizations to inform, connect, and support philanthropy on intersecting issues. The funders that lead and participate in FCAA have extensive experience, perspective, and commitment in responding to pandemics and the consequences for marginalized and inadequately served populations. This is where we come from: It is what informs us, connects us, and motivates our collective energy and philanthropic advocacy.
