Grants Coordinator

Named as one of the Most Innovative Nonprofits in 2018 by Fast Company, the Foundation takes a fiercely experimental and optimistic approach to ensure philanthropic solutions match the complexity and urgency of today's global challenges. The Foundation supports great ideas and the people behind them through its Catalyst Fund, a small grants program for early-stage ideas; the +1 Global Fund, a network-based approach to mitigate the impact of COVID; the Roddenberry Fellowship; and the Roddenberry Prize, a biennial competition to crowd-source innovative solutions to global challenges.

We’re a small team that cares deeply about social change. We work hard and try not to take ourselves too seriously - we enjoy each other and the work. The Foundation is an equal opportunity employer and deeply values diversity. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, or disability status.

ABOUT THE POSITION

The Roddenberry Foundation (TRF) is seeking a Grants Coordinator to support its grantmaking operations and act as liaison between grantees and program and finance staff.

The ideal candidate for this role is resourceful, highly detailed, organized, self-directed, and empathetic. This role is for a go-getter who is excited to find ways to build up TRF’s operational “toolbox” so that its grantmaking can be more equitable and less burdensome to grantees. You know how to be creative in the midst of complex paperwork, and find ways to make a human connection – even as you create spreadsheets and review budgets. This candidate is committed to shifting the power imbalance in philanthropy and is excited to design solutions for grantees and changemakers in resource-limited environments.

TRF is committed to investing in the growth and development of this role as best fits the candidate’s passions and abilities. Professional development (such as continuing education, participation in professional organizations, etc.) opportunities are available.

COMPENSATION

$50,000-$60,000
