ABOUT THE POSITION

HR Services Consultant, Kiwi Lines of Business – HR Services (Remote) 

The Manager of HR Services will deliver exceptional advisory services to our growing community while expanding existing client engagements and identifying new business opportunities. 

Essential Responsibilities: 

Client Advisory 

Lead client engagements to deliver HR Advisory Services that exemplify Kiwi’s excellence standards and exceed clients’ expectations. 

Lead projects and set up clients with high-level oversight from Head of HR Services and Senior Director of HR Services. 

Serve as the client’s main point of contact and lead the client engagement. 

Organize team members, clients, and vendors to achieve HR ongoing and project purpose. 

Responsible for client budgets and following services as stated in engagement letters. 

Exhibit thought leadership and proactive approach to delivering services to clients.  

Conduct client services check-ins, seek feedback, and follow-up with team.  

Monitor and analyze business goals and trends to assist in the design of HR programs that drive desired outcomes and strategic initiatives. 

Ensure compliance with all state and federal laws and regulations pertaining to HR matters. 

Maintain professionalism and demonstrate excellent customer service skills with all clients of Kiwi Partners.  

Research, recommend, and implement HR standard documents and processes at clients. 

Recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements to clients’ and HR Business’ operations.  

Facilitate discussions, develop content, and lead training sessions as necessary.  

Stay up to date with compliance and implement regulatory changes in a timely manner, communicating changes to the rest of the team. 

Business Development 

Identify new business development opportunities for existing and prospective clients; design and deliver pitches. 

Actively participate in internal meetings and HR initiatives; lead goal-setting process, and support HR team in completing annual HR team goals.  

Supervisor Responsibilities 

Recruits, selects, mentors, coaches, and supervises assigned staff. 

Allocate tasks and delegate duties to the proper team member. 

Performs other related duties as required and assigned.

To Be Successful in This Role, You’ll Need: 

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent level of experience (9 years of experience without a Bachelor’s degree) 

Minimum 5-7+ years of professional experience including: 

6+ years of experience in HR. 

3+ years of experience in a professional services consulting firm or as a self-employed professional services consultant, including 3 or more years business development experience. 

4+ years HR leadership experience within a startup or small, unstructured environment.   

Experience modeling organizational values to build a supportive, compassionate, dedicated, and trust-based team culture.   

Strategic knowledge and hands-on experience with multiple HR functions including recruiting, benefits, payroll, leaves of absence, compliance, and organizational development.   

Experience mentoring, supervising, and developing staff.  

Exceptional organization, time management, and project management skills.   

Prior experience with project management. 

Considerable knowledge of principles and practices of personnel administration. 

Experience with one or more of the following: 

Working in multiple work environments.   

Balancing the needs of several clients.   

Working independently as well as collaboratively.     

Excellent and consistent client relationship management skills. 

Excellent organization and time management skills. 

Comfortable working independently as well as collaboratively  

Effective oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills. 

Ability to identify inefficiencies, think strategically, and create processes for complex systems 

Other Highly Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Experience and Key Characteristics  

Prior experience with:  

Compensation analysis, training and facilitation, and HRIS implementation.  

Diversity and inclusivity initiatives.  

HRCI or SHRM certification. 

Working with Us  

This position is open to candidates who wish to be based out of our office locations in New York, Washington DC, Chicago, Durham, and San Francisco. We are also open to permanently remote workers based in the following states: California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, and Wisconsin. Please note that all our five offices have reopened, and we work in a hybrid environment.   

We reopened our offices in Summer of 2022 and work with a hybrid workplace strategy to ensure continued flexibility for our staff, while deepening our strong culture rooted in collaboration and in-person interactions between colleagues. We expect that after your initial onboarding, you will have the choice of two hybrid schedules. Our hybrid schedule options include Flex, with 1-2 days per week in the office, or Office-based, with 3+ days per week in the office (or more if preferred) and the remaining days working at home/remotely. Total Rewards (compensation and benefits)   

This is a full-time position. We offer a competitive and holistic total rewards package that includes salary, bonus, and benefits. Our compensation ranges are based on salary ranges for similar sized organizations in the professional services sector and adjusted for local labor market rates and differentiated by geography. 

Durham range $92,000-$105,000

Chicago range $96,000-$108,000

DC range $102,000-$115,000

NY range $111,000-$125,000

SF range $111,000-$125,000

All full-time staff are eligible for our generous benefits package on their first day of employment:  

Health insurance - On average we pay 86% of the medical premium, 80% of the dental premium, and 100% of the vision premium 

Paid time off - 16 days’ vacation, 10 personal days, 11 company holidays (7 federal and 4 more from a list of inclusive cultural and religious holidays and your birthday), 20 hours’ volunteer leave, 8 weeks’ parental leave 

401(k) retirement plan- We offer a 4% employer match on a dollar-per-dollar basis, and there is no waiting or vesting period; all funds contributed by you and Arabella are yours to keep on day 1

$92,000-$125,000
