Weissberg Foundation envisions a world that recognizes inequities and actively seeks to dismantle structural racism by continuously building access, opportunity, and power so that all can thrive. Through funding, amplification, capacity building, and collaboration, we advance organizations and efforts building power of those most negatively impacted by racism.
ABOUT THE POSITION
Are you a movement leader who is fully dedicated to building power with Black and Brown communities across Virginia? We’re looking for a strategic, values-aligned leader who is energized by the opportunity to direct resources to community in service of racial equity and justice. No experience in grantmaking required.
The Weissberg Foundation is investing in Black-led and accountable power building with the full capacity of our resources (financial and otherwise) to grow and sustain a well-funded, thoroughly-supported ecosystem of leaders and organizations across issue areas who are most proximate to racial injustice and committed to advocacy and structural change, and therefore have the greatest capacity to shape and advance a vision for racial equity and justice in Virginia.
The Director, Power Building, will report directly to the Executive Director and be an integral leader on our team, bringing their expertise and creativity to our ongoing exploration of new ways of philanthropy that center community wisdom and elevate Black, Indigenous, and People of Color leadership.
