ABOUT THE POSITION

Oregon State University Foundation seeks an ambitious and motivated development professional to serve as Senior Director of Development I.  Situated 90 miles south of Portland, OSU is the state’s Land Grant university and is one of only three universities in the U.S. to also have Sea Grant, Space Grant and Sun Grant designations. Reporting to the Senior Vice President & Chief Development Officer, the Senior Director of Development I is a front-line fundraiser responsible for managing a comprehensive major gift program on behalf of the College of Business. Working in close partnership with the Dean, the Senior Director of Development will develop clearly defined strategic fundraising priorities and articulate compelling cases for support.  At least eight years of major gift development in higher education and a proven track record of successful major gift fundraising at the $1 million level and above is preferred.  A Bachelor’s degree is required.  The annual salary range for this position is $140,000 to $155,000, plus a $15,000 annual individual performance bonus when metrics are hit. Relocation assistance, if needed, is negotiable and a comprehensive benefits package will be provided.
