Manager, Grants and Partnerships

bi3 is well-positioned to grow as a health convener, advocate, ally, thought partner, relationship builder and co-designer of health initiatives that incorporate the voices of those with lived experience with an eye to health equity. Our Trust-Based Philanthropy approach, which requires time and resources, is key to shifting the power dynamic between funder and grantee to achieve success and more significant impact/return on our investments.

ABOUT THE POSITION

We are seeking a new team member to help manage our growing grants portfolio and support bi3 team members and grantees to achieve health impact. Success for this position will mean that bi3's processes and practices are efficient, effective and grounded in trust. The Grants Manager will a) manage the grantmaking process and build relationships with grantees, b) improve policies and practices that are grounded in trust-based philanthropy; c) research innovative models across the country, d) participate in capturing and sharing our lessons learned, and d) collaborate to further bi3's mission and strategies.  

The ideal candidate will have knowledge of and/or experience in philanthropy and health. Other valuable skills and attributes include teamwork; relationship building; strategic thinking; problem-solving; understanding of healthcare environment and community health needs; commitment to racial and health equity; strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills; detail-oriented; strong organizational skills; self-motivated with the ability to set priorities and manage multiple tasks under minimal supervision effectively and efficiently; and intermediate to expert skills in Microsoft Office (specifically Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint). 

COMPENSATION

$69,000 to $75,000 based on qualifications and experience.
