About The Duke Endowment

Located in Charlotte, N.C., the Endowment seeks to fulfill the visionary genius and innovative legacy of James Buchanan Duke, one of the great industrialists and philanthropists of the 20th century. Since 1924, The Duke Endowment has worked to help people and strengthen communities in North Carolina and South Carolina by nurturing children, promoting health, educating minds and enriching spirits.

About the Fellowship Program

The Duke Endowment is currently accepting applications for the 2016–2018 Fellowship. The Fellowship is a two-year, full-time position for those who aspire to be leaders in the philanthropic or nonprofit sector.

The deadline for submitting applications is January 4, 2016, at noon EST.

The Endowment is looking for applicants who have demonstrated an interest in the nonprofit sector and exhibited leadership potential in their civic and/or professional lives.

CANDIDACY REQUIREMENTS

  • Past or current residents of North Carolina or South Carolina, or
  • Graduates of a college or university located in North Carolina or South Carolina
  • Have at least one to two years of work experience after obtaining an undergraduate degree, and/or have a graduate degree
