Over the past several years, BFG staff and board have participated in a variety of DEI conversations and training opportunities, either through BFG or other institutions. To build on those experiences, BFG seeks a
skilled and experienced DEI consultant to design and facilitate a series of learning and dialogue opportunities for BFG staff and board aimed at enhancing the understanding and practice of diversity, equity, and inclusion within our organization and its stakeholders. The selected consultant will deliver workshops focused on the following topics:
Advancing Cross-Cultural Communication and ConflictResolution
Unpacking Power Dynamics
Addressing Implicit Bias through Changing Actions
These topics were identified based on recent discussions and feedback from BFG’s board and staff. There is a strong interest in sessions orienting towards practical and actionable discussions and approaches, though grounding in theoretical frameworks and shared definitions is welcome and appropriate.
Scope of Work
The selected DEI consultant will be responsible for:
Workshop Development and Facilitation
Designing three to five interactive and engaging workshops tailored to the needs of BFG. These will primarily be virtual, with the preference for an in-person/hybrid session during the BFG board and staff retreat.
