Overbrook Environment Fellow

The Overbrook Foundation is a family foundation dedicated to conserving the natural environment, advancing human rights, and protecting American democracy. Its Environment Program focuses on issues such as coastal restoration, forest conservation, reducing single-use plastics, and supporting frontline communities resisting petrochemical expansion.

In September 2025, The Overbrook Foundation will offer a fellowship for graduate students interested in philanthropy and environmental grantmaking. The Fellow will work under the guidance of the Program Associate for the Environment and the Foundation’s Lead Advisor, engaging in research projects aligned with the Environment Program’s strategic priorities. Responsibilities will include analyzing policy developments, evaluating potential grantees, developing case studies on funded initiatives, and supporting the Foundation’s special grantmaking efforts. The fellowship provides hands-on experience in environmental philanthropy, allowing students in the New York-area to contribute to impactful grant strategies while deepening their understanding of pressing environmental challenges.
